AION 2 Combat and PvP: Action, Targeting and Flight
Read NC’s description of manual combat, tab-targeting and PvP formats, with the limits of pre-launch mode announcements.
NC describes AION 2 combat as timing and positioning combined with traditional tab-targeting, so “action combat” and “tab target” are not mutually exclusive labels. Its global announcement also lists aerial PvP, arenas and cross-server faction battles.
Understand the hybrid description
The April NC America announcement explicitly combines precision, timing and positioning with traditional tab-targeting. The historical launch release describes dynamic manual combat, and the official teaser emphasizes evasion and positioning. These are publisher descriptions; this research did not measure hit detection or play the control scheme.

| Abyss | Return of faction-based battlefield | Current event and participation requirements |
Choose the experience you want to test
- Decide whether you want solo PvE, organized groups or competitive faction play.
- Check the current regional rules for that mode rather than carrying a KR/TW guide into global service.
- Use available gameplay or an accessible supported client to evaluate movement, targeting and menu controls.
- Compare paid-access and economy rules separately from the advertised combat feel.
The April global announcement describes four-player dungeons and eight-player raids; the NC Japan special page labels its named expeditions for up to five players. Different activity labels, dates or regions may explain this, but the discrepancy is not resolved here. Check the actual activity lobby before forming a party.
Original sources were reviewed October 3–4. The additions were read on October 7, with each source’s region and date retained. No live client, purchase or reward test was performed.
Plan a group Expedition
- AION 2 Dungeon Party: Agree on the Roles Before Entry
Build a group for the actual Expedition size and discuss attention, healing and damage responsibilities before copying a regional composition.
- AION 2 Odyle Energy: Separate Clearing from Claiming
Use the reported reward-cube system to decide whether the current dungeon reward is worth claiming, while reading the separate entry and unclaimed-cube limits.
Check activity changes before copying a raid guide
NC’s October 5 Sanctuary notice announces that Ludra is temporarily removed from the full launch build while its Global mechanics are revised. It promises a return-date announcement by October 16, which is different from promising the raid returns on that day.
- Choose the activity you want and find a notice for that exact Global activity.
- Check whether the lobby matches an older guide’s mode and mechanics before organizing a group.
- For Ludra, look for its subsequent return announcement before treating an Early Access guide as a launch-week route.
The dated source records and this article’s wording were reviewed on October 7, 2026. “Last checked” means source and editorial review. No current game client, account, installation, purchase or reward delivery was independently tested. Older sources retain their original dates, service regions and version limits.
