AION 2 Skills: Separate Mastery, Stigma and Presets
Use the reported two-tab skill structure and quest-gated Stigma unlock, then make one purposeful setup for the content you actually play.
SPACE4GAMES reports a Skills window with Mastery and Stigma tabs, a level-22 Stigma quest called The One Who Hears the Voice in the test, and three skill presets. These are different systems: skill development, additional skills and saved configurations.
Separate Mastery points, Stigma resources and presets
Mastery is described as the class’s general tree with abilities unlocking as the character levels and Skill Points improving them. Stigma adds class-specific skills through a reported quest gate. That distinction helps explain why another player’s endgame setup may contain an option your early character cannot yet select. The guide’s examples of Gladiator unlock levels are from the test, and its five-Stigma-slot statement is specifically Korean; neither should become an unconditional current Global loadout rule.
Presets organize choices rather than creating more Skill Points. The author suggests separating leveling and boss setups, which is useful when area damage, survival or a single target changes the job. Start with the abilities used repeatedly in the actual encounter instead of distributing points evenly merely to fill every available icon. Fextralife’s beginner guide also emphasizes core abilities, but its skill breakpoint and refund details have unspecified service scope, so this page does not publish a universal optimal allocation or a fixed respec price.
Choose a core skill and save its task
- Open the live Skills interface and distinguish the general class tree from the additional-skill tab.
- If a Stigma option is locked, read its actual quest and character requirement rather than treating it as a missing menu bug.
- Choose the core actions used in the content you currently play and read what the next skill level actually changes.
- Save a purposeful preset for that task, then create another only when a different encounter requires a different choice.
- Before entering the activity, confirm which preset is active and whether its available skills still match the intended role.

| Situation | Choice | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| An extra skill is unavailable | Read its quest gate | Stigma unlock differs from ordinary point spending |
| Normal abilities lack investment | Review the core Mastery choices | An additional skill does not solve every basic gap |
| Leveling and boss needs differ | Use a purposeful separate preset | Saved configurations can serve different jobs |
| Korean guide shows more slots | Keep its region and date visible | Slot count is not automatically Global |
Recheck the equipped effect after a change
A useful setup should let you explain why each chosen action is present. If the role changes, alter the relevant choice and compare the encounter rather than replacing the entire setup with a copied tier-list build. Keep unlock progress, point spending and preset selection in separate notes so they do not become one confusing problem. No exact damage gain per point or current refund cost is verified here. The page gives the reported skill systems distinct jobs and a practical sequence for making an early configuration.

Invest toward a specific Specialty breakpoint

| Rank | Reported change | Decision |
|---|---|---|
| 8 | First Specialty slot | Choose one useful effect |
| 12 | Second slot | Equip the second effect |
| 16 | Another available option | Check whether you need that option |
| 20 | Third slot | Budget for a third useful effect |
The guide’s example is 10 point-funded ranks plus two +1 Daevanion nodes = 12 total ranks. It also counts connecting tiles: four 1-point grey nodes plus a 3-point blue destination costs 7 points. These examples explain the accounting; compare the actual board route and skill panel before spending.
- Pick the attack, heal or protection skill that repeatedly solves your current task.
- Read its total rank and next unlocked Specialty, including equipment bonuses.
- Count the whole board route, then confirm the selected effect is equipped.
- After changing gear or presets, recheck the total rank and effect slots.
The added GameTruth guide does not identify its regional client or game build. Its quest names, skill thresholds and routes are attributed references to compare with your own service.
