AION 2 PC Download: Steam, PURPLE and System Requirements
Install Global AION 2 through Steam or PURPLE, replace the old Steam Playtest, and compare Global PC requirements with the Taiwan client.
For Global, use Steam app 3393110 or the Global AION 2 entry in PURPLE on Windows PC. NC says Steam Launch Scale Test participants must uninstall the Playtest app and download AION 2 separately. Budget 100 GB of free space; the Global minimum is 8 GB RAM and GTX 1050 Ti 4 GB, with an SSD recommended.
Choose the right Global client
- Open the official Global site and follow its Steam app 3393110 or PURPLE Global game link.
- If Steam still shows the Launch Scale Test app, uninstall that Playtest entry and install the retail AION 2 app separately. NC says PURPLE test participants do not need that extra step.
- Check the target drive for at least 100 GB free and select an SSD if available.
- Finish the download and any launcher update, then use the play action for the intended service. A missing character is an account-linking problem to investigate separately.

The Global store specifies Low at FHD even for its recommended hardware. The Taiwan table instead names a “normal” recommended preset and slightly different minimum CPUs (2600X / i5-10500F). Keep those regional values separate; no measured frame rate is promised.
Taiwan PURPLE installation route
- Use the official Taiwan download page and download PurpleInstaller.
- Install and run PURPLE, then select STORE → the Taiwan AION2 entry.
- Open the game lobby and choose Install Game.
- Compare your hardware with the Taiwan table rather than assuming the Global Steam table applies unchanged.
The Taiwan page describes roughly 70 GB or more for initial game installation but requests 100 GB free in its specifications. Prepare using the free-space requirement, leaving room for the installation state and updates.

Do not create or relink accounts merely because a download completes without the expected character. NC’s missing-character FAQ states that moving a Steam link does not transfer character data.
