AION 2 Language Settings and English Server Choice

Use the global Launch FAQ’s language-change route and distinguish UI support from an English-speaking community server.

Quick answer

For the global client, the September Launch FAQ directs you to the top-right gear icon, Settings, then the language tab. It lists English among eight UI/subtitle languages. An “English server” recommendation is a community choice, separate from the client’s language support.

Use the source-described setting

  1. Enter the global game client.
  2. Select the gear icon in the top-right corner to open Settings.
  3. Open the language tab.
  4. Choose your preferred language from the available list.

Why older lists differ

NC America’s April announcement listed ten languages including Simplified and Traditional Chinese. The newer September Launch FAQ lists eight UI/subtitle languages and no Chinese entry. Keep both dates in the research record and use the later service FAQ for this guide’s current support wording.

Choose a community and region

  • Pick an officially announced server region that fits your location.
  • Ask a community which world it currently uses, and record when that recommendation was made.
  • Confirm the world is available to your account before planning a group start.
  • Do not confuse an English-speaking guild on Taiwan with the global language-setting instructions.
Client scope

These setting steps are publisher instructions for global service. They were not executed in the current client and do not establish an English UI switch for Taiwan or Korea.

Agree on region, faction and world together

  1. Ask your group for three separate choices: region, faction and server name.
  2. Follow the publisher’s creation order: Region → Faction → Server.
  3. Compare the current server notice’s Launch Servers and Advanced Access Servers sections for that region.
  4. If friends are on the opposing faction, do not mistake a paired PvP server for the same home world.
  5. Set your own UI/voice language separately; a world’s community language is not a client-language setting.

An English-server request needs these fields
FieldExample / reasonWhat to confirm
RegionNA East and NA West have separate listsSame regional service as your friends
FactionElyos and Asmodians live on different home serversSame faction for the intended group start
WorldNA East launch example: Kaisinel / Lumiel are opposing faction worldsActual server name and creation availability
Community languageA guild may use English independently of UI settingsA current group invitation and date
Changing server pairings

NC says opposing-faction pairings change over time. A launch pairing is useful context for PvP, not a promise that an English community always stays together or that character transfer is available.
